I am 28 with JRA since 1 year old and just started my own blog. I know know college was one of the hardest periods for me physically and I wish I had had the guts, like yourself, to share my experiences. I look forward to reading more! Even though I'm in school not far away from my hospital, I had to wait to come home because I want to talk to my primary care first. I'm hoping she can refer me to an ideal rheumatologist. I really need someone who is used to dealing with juvenile onset as well as psoriatic arthritis- unfortunately very few deal with psoriatic arthritis properly.

Happy Christmas Wren! And a very happy new year!Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00032787341840928747noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4839928055592799509.post-88828753579151275902014-12-18T11:56:31.715-05:002014-12-18T11:56:31.715-05:00It's so good to hear from you again, Elizabeth...It's so good to hear from you again, Elizabeth! I missed your thoughtful posts, and I was worried that you were ill. Instead, I learn that you've been having a wonderful time as you start your new life as a university student! That''s SO great! Here's wishing you continued success and happiness in your endeavors.

I was dismayed to read that your new doctor stopped your meds. And angry on your behalf that he said your pain was "all in your head!" How dare he? RA is a serious disease that's hard to control and does terrible damage to the body, even when it's "under control." I'm flabbergasted that he would stop treating you.

Have you considered asking for a change of rheumatologists, or talking to your primary care doctor about what to do? This is just awful. My heart goes out to you.

So, I've said my piece. In the meantime, I wish you and your family a very Happy Christmas, with all the joy the holiday offers. And here's wishing you a joyful and engaging New Year.L."Wren" Vandeverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03587456557210335403noreply@blogger.com
